Storage question - read different things

Can I add fresh pumped milk to refrigerated milk (pumped within the same day)? I then freeze it immediately. I've found things that say add chilled to chilled but then other websites say that's not the case anymore. Any official word?

Kellymom and Mayo Clinic both say to only add chilled to chilled.

I've never done this in the five months I've been pumping. Oops. I've never had issues mixing warm with refrigerated, but I won't recommend it if the experts say otherwise.

Yeah, I mix warm with refrigerated all the time, lol.
