Strange question about BF and ovulation

Ever since my cycles returned, I have noticed that I get horrible clogged ducts for the few days right around ovulation. Is this just coincidence or is there a hormonal connection to this? I would love to prevent it but not sure how.

Hormonal.

I got awful nipple pain and clogged ducts every ovulation. So bad that I had a week a month I hated BFing.

So I went on the Cerazette minipill and it's stopped my ovulation. Swapping to the implant soon as it also stops ovulation but with less hormone.
