How would you react to this? Would it bother you at all.

I love people coming to hold or fuss over my 3 month old baby no problem, but wasn't so keen when one lady took it upon herself to blow big wet raspberries over his face.

Am I being too fussy to not like that part so much? I didn't complain when she did it, as I don't like to cause conflict, but the thought of a strangers saliva all over my babys cheeks wasn't the most pleasant thing.

How would you react? Or would you not be bothered by it, just interested in opinions lol, I'm bored.

I think I was more worried that my baby would catch something from that lady if she had a cold or something, my son he was 2 months old at the time.

Maybe I was over worrying

I wouldn't be happy about that at all. There are boundaries especially for strangers and so many people cross the line.

Its disgusting

I would sway my baby nicely out of the offending persons face esp a stranger!lol

My MIL does this and it pisses me off so much i now when she starts this filthy act take him away from her.

Not an over reaction at all you dont know what people have got in there mouth!!

Thanks ladies. I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. :)

That would bother me ALOT. I dont know how i would have dealt with it at the time. I probably wouldnt have said anything either as i dont like conflict but i like to think i would have said "oh she doesnt really like that" and took her back.

I dont want strangers holding my baby either let alone blowing raspberries, i think thats very forward and rude, i would never even think of doing that to anyones baby.

GROSS!
An old man came up at church and kissed my 5 day old baby on the forehead and it really disgusted me. I didnt say anything cause of where we were, but i think my look said it all and he has not done it since

I wouldn't like that either - that should be reserved for Mum and Dad only but I expect close family would do it as well. x

i'd be SO PISSED OFF!!! you're not over reacting atall!!
i'd have had to have said, 'do you mind not spitting in his face please'
i dont even like it when strangers touch babies faces, i find it gross, ppl's hands are not clean when they're out in public touching hand rails, door handles, etc. picking up all those germs! keep your filthy hands away!!
i'd have had the baby wipes out cleaning his face as soon as she went away!

I would seriously hit somebody. What makes people think that's okay?!
I wear Silas when I'm out so people can't touch him or get too close...

Yuck!!! I wouldn't like somebody doing that to my babies face either. Like you I would struggle to say anything but I wouldn't have been happy.

If she does that too often sooner or later somebody will slap her!

It would really annoy me, i don't think i could keep my beak shut if someone were to especially a stranger! :hugs:

I have to say I take to baby wearing so people can't do this, it also winds me up when people touch her hands, I don't know what they have touched and she puts them in her mouth!

I wouldn't like it. My LO would be hysterical if a stranger did that so I think her reaction would be enough to warn them off!

My 3 month old boy is now 11 months old, not sure he would like raspberries on his cheek now, he's old enough to protest more now, he was such an easy going boy as a newborn lol but now I think he would grab her cheeks or hair for her efforts hahaha

i would have the urge to punch them.. i would ask them when the last time they sanitized their mouth was. honestly some people. gross.

ERGH I don't even like family doing it. FIL was basically snogging LO's face on saturday. I was disgusted and made OH get LO back and ask him not to do it. So gross.
