Anyone know what the best stretch mark cream is?

Im really consious about the way i look, really dont want any and the plan is to be back to a size 8 a few months after i give birth!

Im using bio oil at the moment, but that hasnt gotten rid of any of my scars in the past and my friend says she still got them when using it
:wacko::nope:

Nothing'll get rid of them except time, hon. Lots of things advertise they really but really...you can't. It the lower levels of your skin ripping, you can't just make them go back together!

Your best bet is to just try to prevent further ones. Apply lotion after you shower in "trouble" spots (usually stomach, butt, thighs and boobs) and hope for the best! They will fade overtime to a silvery color.

Pregnancy makes you say "bye bye" to your body, really that's just something you're going to have to get used to. It takes everyone different amounts of time to get their old bodies back and some never do, that's going to be something you'll have to accept.

You don't want your baby growing up with a poor self image. :/

I use a combination of bio oil and palmers cocoa butter. It's persistence that pays off.

I used Palmers Cocoa Butter in pregnancy & got stretchmarks.
Nothing will prevent them, but some things help fade them once you have them.
Make sure you are eating a healthy diet & drinking plenty of water, as water is brilliant!

I am using the Palmers Butter especially for stretchmarks (the one with the pregnant woman on) and it seems to be doing a good job at clearing them up. It's around £5 a bottle & smells lovely. x

Cool thanks :) What if i buy them all and mix them all together in a tub haha :)

I no a few stretchmarks are worth it and i dont want my baby growing up vein or not thinking well of itself.
Even though im still with my OH i just keep thinking no one's gonna want me after and covered in stretch marks lol :/

I havent found a cream that works but i have found a shower gel that begins fading them after a few days, mine have really gone down they used to be really red now there a pale pinky colour its lynx skin contact hydrating with aloe vera.

Palmers
Or if you can afford it or someone wants to buy it for you as a nice gift, Spoiled Mama. I heard that works wonders and asked for it for my birthday!

Palmers worked for me - I didnt get any marks with Ben :D

Well dollars and euros aren't the same. $75 is about £53.

Still a lot!

I have used pretty much everything under the sun... The palmers stretch mark creme (the one that comes in a hand pump bottle), the thicker palmers stretch mark massage lotion (the one that comes in the tube), the palmer's body butter, regular cocoa butter lotion, the palmer's cocoa butter that comes in the tiny jar, EVERYTHING... lol. I've even bought bar soap for the shower that is supposed to be made from cocoa butter! I don't have any stretch marks yet, but I can't really tell if it's working or not because I know a lot of it is genetics. My mom had a TON of stretch marks, so I figured I'd get some... I guess we will see, since I still have a little bit to go!

Ooh £45 isnt so much, think i might have it as a xmas pressie!
I find bio-oil really greasy though, and it has a funny smell, My tummy feels a little firmer? But i think thats just because im starting to get a bump ahaaa:)

Palmers but I think if your going to get them you will :(

Hun I know exactly how you feel. I am utterly disgusted with myself after giving birth. I have stretchmarks all across my stomach, my thighs, back ofs my knees, upper arms and a few on my back/boobs. I have cried more times than I can count over it, but in the end its nothing when I see my little boy smile.

You can slather cream all over you until your handles are wrinkly from the moisture but if you are going to get stretchmarks you will. Stretchmarks come from the genetics of your skins elasticity. No amount of creams, lotions or potions will change your genetic makeup. It may make them lighter but will not stop them all together.

All through my pregnancy I used bio-oil and palmers coco butter, especially for stretchmarks and nothing worked. Now that I have given birth time seems to be the only healer. They will fade, just don't let yourself get as depressed as I already am about them. It's seriously not worth it.

As for being a size 8 again a few months pp, sure that happens to some women, but again, please do not get down if this doesn't happen for you. It took 9 months for your body to get to the giving birth stage, it will take 9 months to recover and some things will always be different - your boobs for example, will never be the same, nor will your hips (they seem to get wider) - but don't get down. The body of a mother, no matter what shape, size, markings etc. is the most beautiful body there is, for the simple fact that it was able to grow and nurture life. Cherish your mummy body and all it accomplished :)

I totally agree with the last comment, i didn't have ANY stretch marks until i was 34 weeks and i thought i was so lucky, i put it down to using shea butter, cocoa butter and bio oil as i put it on religiously after a shower and every night but i still got them when i turned 34 weeks as the skin over my bump started getting tighter and just stretched but i don't care anymore my oh loves me and that's all that matters :D i still use the cream though just to prevent itching and soreness and they are really sore sometimes but shea butter helps. The cocoa butter didn't do anything for me i hate the smell and bio oil is good it does fade them over time it's if you can put up with the greasiness of it at first!!
