stretch and sweeps

Hi there, I haven't been on the forums for quite some time, infact last time I was on here, I was struggling with conception, and now I am currently 3 days overdue with our first little boy! I am doing a home birth, should all things continue to go as well as they are.
Yesterday at 11 am I had my first stretch and sweep at 40 weeks +2 days. My midwife was surprised to find that I was already 4 cm dilated and she stretched my to 5cm. my cervix was soft ( in her words I have the cervix of someone who already had one child...which I haven't)
Anyways, it's been 25 hours, I haven't had any abnormal discomforts aside from some menstrual like cramps yesterday and some back pain. I've lost atleast some of my mucus plug/bloody show, but other than that I feel like nothing is happening and yet I'm 5 cm dilated.

What are your experiences in this situation?

I had a sweep at 40+6 on a Thursday morning. I was 3-4cm stretchy to 5 with waters bulging. Had nothing on Thursday or Friday but woke on Saturday with irregular contractions on and off all day and clear outs. I went into established labour at 1.30am and he was in my arms at 8.30 after a very easy and relaxed labour !
