Hey everyone! So, while I'm not getting stretch marks on my belly at all, my boobs seem to have the start of what I'm assuming to be them underneath... They aren't very prominent at all.. Is there a way to stop them from getting larger or showing more? I started using body butter 2x a day and haven't seen anything more, but don't know if that's enough to keep them away? Any insight?

TBH I've heard that none of the creams marketed to prevent stretch marks work at all... that doesn't stop me from slathering on the bio-oil each night like a sacrament though! :dohh: It probably is mostly down to genetics like they say (which sucks for me as my mum had them), but that isn't to say you can't do things that may decrease the severity.

Keeping weight gain steady and to a healthy amount is a big part of it, also drinking as much water as possible (thus keeping skin supple and hydrated). Adding those creams to the mix certainly can't hurt and they may well help in the skin hydration factor. I'm 23 weeks now and no stretch marks in sight (in fact my skin had never been softer!), but I know that I could sadly wake up with a belly full of marks tomorrow :nope:
Funny thing about the genetics part though, my cousins ( who were sisters) were both pg at the same time and I saw both of their bellies. The one cousin had a pristine belly without a mark in sight, the other cousin however, oh my goodness. it was bad. I felt terrible for her, I had never seen so many stretch marks on a belly. I think the difference really came down to weight with them. The cousin with the bad marks gained A LOT of weight during pg, the other very little.

Well thats my 2 cents... lol a little off topic. sorry.

Wss^^ Creams don't seem to stop them but I'm still using them to help keep my skin hydrated and hopefully reduce the redness and time they take to fade afterwards
