I was putting cream on my stomach last night when I noticed a short red stretchmark. :hissy: I never really paid attention to what marks I had from before, but now I am paranoid that I am getting stretchmarks already! DF also thinks it might be a new mark. I'm not even very big yet so I guess I just didn't really think it could happen this early. I'm keeping my fingers crossed it is just an old one I never noticed before though. Has anyone else gotten stretchmarks this early?

every1 different i suppose, i'm 25 wks n lucikly none as of yet x

hiya hun , i have some white stretch marks appering on my upper thighs , none on my stomach (yet) !!! ive been using palmers cocoa butter but gonna start using bio oil too

i m 22 weeks and i dont know wat is stretch marks....is it a horizontal or vertical line u r talking about:blush:

I swear when I saw the line on the stick mine started coming out..
Just lube up your belly with lots of creams, try Bio-oil.
I've heard that if you're gonna get them, nothing you do with help.. but it's worth a try hun!

I look like a tiger attacked my belly... :(

Look sweets, I have had stretchmarks since I was 13 years old and I am NOT a big girl at all, it happens to the best of us. It doesn't mean your ugly or anything of that sort. I know it cripples your pride and makes you feel gross but a lot of women (big and small) have them and it's nothing you should feel ashamed of. Enjoy your pregnancy and even if you do get stretchmarks don't worry about it too much. It isn't like anyone is going to judge you based off of that - I promise! :hugs:

Hi there,

Yes i have stretch marks already lots of little white ones, even though ive been putting cream on every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :( :(

Unfortunately it is what it is. Nothing you can really do about it. I have no stretch marks yet (from pregnancy) but figure that I'm doomed to get them. I have stretch marks from losing weight. So, stretchmarks are definitely in my near future. : (

Yup, got them. Started with 1 new one on my right hip when I was maybe 8 weeks and now existing ones from my hips/back are starting to GROW towards the front argh. I'm not even growing that much--at least that's what everyone tells me! Been using Bio-oil and Palmer's (which one depends on my mood, Bio-oil's a bit greasy) since day 1. Oh well, genetics...

I got my first strechmarks on my right hip when i was 14 weeks, luckily didnt get no more!

Heya, I study beauty therapy, and know a lot about skin, so thought I would share...

Firstly, once you get a stretch mark, it will always be there I'm afraid, it's like a scar! You can rub as much bio oil onto it, but it won't disappear!

If the stretch mark is red however, it means it there is a lot of blood flow in that area. Keep massaging, to increase the blood flow, as this will help the skin to create new skin cells, so the stretch mark will hopefully not get any bigger!

All red stretch marks will eventually fade to a white colour, so will therefore be less obvious!

We are told to by buy all these expensive products like Bio Oil, however, any oil or cream will help to prevent stretch marks from forming, because its not the product, its the MASSAGE! By increasing blood flow to the area, the skin gets more oxygen and skin cell renewal is sped up. If the skin cells are renewing faster, then the skin won't need to be stretched!

Hope that makes sense! Just a little info I thought I might pass on!

xx

Thanks everyone! I don't really mind the stretchmark, I just never thought they would come so soon...good to know I'm not the only one experiencing them so early.

Awww thats brilliant thanks for that xxx

Like shaunanicole, i got them at an early age and iv always been a skinny minnie! It was due to a growth spurt when i was a teenager and i have them on the sides of my hips and very very faint ones on my boobs.

I have noticed some small red ones on the underside of my boobs (im 17 weeks) but none on my tummy so far. I imagine they will come though, but its only a small price to pay. Im grateful that im having such a healthy pregnancy and if you're lucky enough not to get them, well you're just that .... lucky.

They do fade sweetheart and it does seem like such a minor thing to worry about with regards to all the other changes happening to your body!

They are little baby tattoos :-)

Well....I've had marks on my butt ever since I was like 15 or 16....out of nowhere I developed a body lol...when I was pregnant with my son...I was a small b and my boobs grew so much (DD) that I got them all over my breast...thank God those are not noticeable anymore (they say they don't go away but they are not visable AT All)...I was only 18 when I got them though:( ...with my daughter I would massage baby oil all over my hips, belly, and breast and I still got some on my hips...like 3 on each hip (not bad) and nothing else...well where I massaged ...I forgot about my upper thighs so I got a few there :( I couldn't see my upper thighs nor reach them lmao but who is going to see that high...only when I wear a bikini...with this pregnancy I am making sure to massage the shit out of my whole body lmao...
no matter what you do you might get them...yeah its true about the massage thing but if you are meant to have them you will get them...1 or 100...it is just like wrinkle...you do EVERYTHING to prevent them but no matter what you do...they will always come grrrrr

my friend got her pregnancy marks on her belly, butt, hips, thigh, calves, lower back, and even her arms grrrrr...pretty eh...
the good thing is that my stretch marks are either invisible now or not that noticeable...
my friend had her baby almost 10 years ago and hers are extremely noticeable...but they did turn from blue/red to white within time.

everyone is different...
I got all my marks at my last tri...except the ones on my boobs with my son...I got those right away.

well i have very un streachy skin and am covered in wide red stretch marks  if you are going to get them i think no amount of cream can really help unfortunately.but it is all worth it in the end :happydance: :hugs: xxxx

Don't panic Mr Mannering :D You may not got anymore. Some get none all pregnancy and then are covered 1 week before birth! I really wouldn't waste money on bio oil. You can put it on twice a day for 9 months and still be covered. Just keep moisturised and be proud :D

I;m 11 weeks and have plenty of new ones yet havent put on any weight yet.

Go figure.

Your skin will be undergoing lots of changed due to all the extra hormones and your shape will have changed a little so the odd stretchmark at this point shouldnt be a huge surprise.

If you already have some anywhere on your body you be prone to getting more...and no amount of cream will stop them.

sucks dont it.

Yeah im the same as prettybonk ive had stretchmarks on my bum since i was about 16 I have some (hardily noticable) on my boobs too because I went from a B to a D. Ive always been a petite girl so I think if your gonna get hem, your gonna get them. never mind, my boyfriend loves my body no matter what and they will fade. xxxx
