Stretchmarks....

Ugh, I still haven't gotten any, but now they are one of my biggest fears.
My mom didn't have any with both pregnancies, and I am truly hoping I am blessed with those genes.
I put stretchmark preventing cream on every day, but now that I have hit 6 months I am so scared that it will happen.

I know I am just being vain, but I have already been emotionally destabilized by the weight gain and somewhat depressed at the same time.

i went from a size 8 to a 22 with my first but didn't get any until after my due date! Now im covered! My mum got them to. Its horrible but if your going to get them there is very little you can do. If you do, they do fade (until you have another.. then they will fade again) There are also non surgical peels and stuff you can get the make them fade very quickly if you have the cash and/or inclination

Also if anyone knows anyone in need of a road map of europe im available most weekends but charge by the hour.

I'm the same way don't worry! I think it's because I'm only in my early twenties and would still love to be able to wear a bikini when we go to the lake cabin. I've been using palmer's cocoa butter since 12 weeks. I was just thinking today if there is any other kinds of stuff out there I can use to prevent them. My mistake was no putting it on my chest because now my boobs are trying to get stretch marks. Of course now I'm putting plenty on them LOL!!

I wouldn't worry just because you are six months. I am prone to stretch marks (I have them on my hips from before I was preggo, because my butt is the size of a house ), and I am almost 7 1/2 months, and none yet. I do have three.. they are all on my boobs though, I have also been applying stretch mark cream everything morning and every night. Not just because I am worried about getting stretch marks but my belly is too the point where I am going to start getting them.. I know because it ITCHES! And I mean itches!! ALL THE TIME!

Itchy skin especially on your growing belly is a good indication that the skin is reaching maximum capacity and the lotion will help a lot. Not just to alleviate the discomfort of the itching, but to assist the skin in being supple and stretchy.

I havent got any *yet* but I put cocoa butter on three times a day to try and stop it. Ive hardly put on any weight yet any weight.

I actually had a scare the other day, thinking that I got one. Turned out to be just a scratch

Ooh I hope you dont get any hun! I've gotten some on my tummy and very small ones on my boobs. =( Just keep using the lotion for it, cause I didn't use anything for a while. And thats good if your mom didn't get any, hopefully it will pass onto you. =)

I am the same as you and am in competition, I too am for hire at the right price!

I look at them as pregnancy stripes, they are the only but the best stripes I could ever be awarded! x

I didn't get any until my last week. Now I seem to have them everywhere. They've shrunk a lot with my belly though.. still look funny though. Good luck. xx

I know how you feel. My mom didn't get them. I do have some on my inner thighs and hips a little from growing up but you can barely see them. I pray that I don't get them....getting huge is bad enough. My self-esteem is is at zero right now.

Im the same, i like check my tummy everyday as it grows to see if any have appeared and fingers crossed none hav yet. But i dont kno whether anyone else is using it but i bought some bio oil and started aplying it everyday since i was 12 weeks. Its quite expensive at £20 for a big bottle and im nearly on my second lol but its really meant to work. i will keep you updated though as im quite dubious about it xx

I used to use bio oil before I got pregnant because my weight was up and down quite a bit but Ive never got stretchmarks! It is expensive, but worth it in my mind.
