Ok so im 8 dpo ive been having thick white cm and its not a infection lol! Anyway i went to the loo and when i wiped there was like off white stringy stretchy cm anyone had this? X

Could be eggwhites Laura? I've seen on some people's charts that they have eggwhites sometimes before a pregnancy test confirms positive....hope thats what it is for you!!

I just had the same thing when I took my OPK 15 minutes ago... I checked my CM and it was white, thick creamy...Is that how yours was? Then there was something stringy in it..SO confusing.

PLUS, I've been getting positive OPKs since last Wednesday, making this day 6 of positives.

I've had that kind too - reminds me of those sticky hands you get at the quarter machines. *lol*

It's so hard to tell because it's not how it's explained normally. If it is EWCM, the creamy, thick white part makes it very hard to determine whether it is or not.

now im confused, EWCM is creamyt white right?? now a bit of tom much info follows....what i have at the moment and have had for a few days is thick white mucus but i tryed strechying it out between ya fingers and it only did it for a couple millimetres..and i dont have an infection or anything but mine mucus would that be EWCM or???

i just started TTC again past couple months only being NTNP but, i had my CD1 on the 4th Febuary and my cycles have been all messed up since jan but usually hava 30-31 day cycle?? anyone help me??

Amanda, EWCM looks like raw egg whites...

I had EWCM/creamy for quite a few days even after suspected Ov day. Went back to creamy/lotion-y and then yesterday noticed a very small amount of EWCM. Today most of it is lotion-y but it also stretches from time to time.

Also, it's not uncommon to see EWCM about a week after ovulation as it's due to the second surge of estrogen. But as Mistycat said, it's also a pregnancy sign for some women!

My nipples/boobs hurt but more so my nipples! Touch them and you die! I don't feel like AF is on her way, but I don't feel PG either!

Hope it's a good sign for us all!

Well, it stands for eggwhite cervical mucus... And it's supposed to be transparent like the eggwhite of an egg. That's why I and lauralou25 are confused because we found something stretchy-like in white, creamy thick cm...

Ok girls. I'm reading through and seeing what you're talking about. I've been having this exact same thing for 3 days and wondering "surely this can't be ewcm b/c I'm not even fertile yet."
Can I ask you girls a question?? Are you BDing before you see this sort of discharge?
I'm not trying to gross anyone out but I came to this realization today - it is NOT discharge - it is left over semen! Sorry if anyone is grossed out but this is what it is. Egg white cervical mucous looks like EGG WHITES. If it's creamy or lotiony and non stretchy - it's yours but if it's creamy/lotiony AND stretchy it's semen.
I've ALWAYS known what that was coming out of me until I started checking cervical mucous almost every day and realized that what I'm seeing isn't CM at all b/c it correlates perfectly with the last time I BD'd... We BD'd day before yesterday and yesterday so that explains the mystery discharge... Hope that helps!

Well this is the first time I've seen it, actually. And just now when I wiped, it seemed to be the EWCM on it's own. I researched and found everywhere stating that if it's semen, it will not stretch and this stretched at least 2 1/2-3 inches..Both when it was in the creamy white, thick CM and on it's own. I also checked my cervix and there's still some creamy CM up there as well.

I would feel torn about this, but it stretched...I'm kinda leaning towards it being cm...

Lol! I ovulated on cd 14 and have not bd since last monday as oh been away and mine is like thick cm but also i noticed yesterday that its got bits of stretchy bits in it sort of like snot looking and af is due this weekend? X

I had the same thing about a few hours ago and now I'm back to just thick, white, creamy cm! I'm so frustrated!!!

And I just got my 7th positive OPK in a row. I am going nuts...I'm debating on waking hubby to before work. I just feel so badly cuz it's so early, but I don't want to miss my window. AHHHH!
