just wondered if anyone else has this problem, when we give sylvie a feed she gulps down the first 2 oz and you can hear it in her belly and then with the last 2 oz she really kicks about like she has wind so i sit her up to wind her and she is fine, then try and feed her again and she crys again so end up giving her the last 2 oz over the space of half an hour in bits. she is having infacol which really seemed to be working in the beginning but now im not so sure. please help

we had a similar problem and lo is now having gaviscon in each of his feeds as he had silent reflux the nurse said just because he wasn't being sick it didnt mean he didnt have reflux it was just coming up to his gullet and staying there which was causing his pain now he has his bottles no problem as the gaviscon thickens the milk and helps keep it down. he would gulp the first 2oz down like your lo and then it could be anything from 1-2 hrs to try giving him the rest but the gavison has changed all that i would ask your gp to prescribe some to try it x

that would make sense actually we gave her hungry milk last week and she didnt struggle to drink that it went down ok its quite a bit thicker, but it did come back up again about half hour later.x

My daughter was the same she started off fine then I could hear her tummy then she screamed. It took over an hour to feed her. She is now 8 weeks old and it has nearly gone we did change from SMA to Cow and Gate so this might have helped.

spoken to the hv and she said to try gripe water, change the size of the bottle teat and also maybe change her food. gave her gripe water with her last feed and there was an improvement so fingers crossed we've cracked it. x

we use dentanox. we had similar problem. it improved lots. we also changed bottles and went to comfort formula. she does have a reflux and colic. we where give gaviscone by one dr but it made her constipated and she now only the painful bubbles once a week if that. id keep trying what you are trying 1st
