Stye in my eye, worried about baby

I have woke up this morning with a stye and am worried about getting too close to baby in case its contagious?

Does anyone know?

No u should be fine i get them all the time

I get them too have u got an old mascara or something you've used old make up can cause this by getting in the pores and becoming inflamed. Wouldn't think they could be passed to another person x

theyre not contagious hun, as all they are is an inflamed zit usually caused by dirt or makeup getting into the eye area
ive had loads and never passed one one to any of the kids or hubby....a good thing to put on it is golden eye ointment its not expensive from the chemist

Not contagious - try putting a warm flannel on it to help draw the gunk out!

Thanks everyone, I spoke to the pharmacist and she recommended the warm flannel or cotton wool with water as hot as I can cope with. So will attempt that tonight and hope it goes quickly. Wasn't too bothered about it for me, more in case I could pass it to baby but at least I'm reassured about that..

don't think it is, lucas just had conjunctivitis and despite that being contagious and easily passed on i never developed it despite obviously being in close proximity with him. definitely ask your health visitor if you are in any doubt
