So I was diagnosed with a SCH at 6w3d. I then had a hemorrhage during week 7. Saw baby's heartbeat at 159, development was going okay. I continued to spot brown for a few days after, but now I've been about three or four days spotting free. Sometimes when I wipe I can tell my CM is slightly tinged but nothing how it was. Does this mean it's healing? I'm almost afraid to get excited. Next US is in nine days and I'm already so anxious.

Also, who bought a doppler? If you did, what kind, and how early could you hear HB?
Thanks! I am looking for some reassuring help.

Im sorry I don't know much about that but im praying for you

My SCH happened at 8 weeks and I still had what you explain till probably last weekend when it stopped 100%.. I baught the Sonoline B doppler.. works amazing and ive been listening to the heartbeat since 8 weeks

I had an SCH which caused a massive bleed at 12 weeks. I bled continuously until week 16 at which point the bleeding stopped. However, the SCH didn't resolve itself until some point between weeks 26-28 (it was quite large!).

My son is now 18 months old. I know it's scary but the chances of miscarrying due to an SCH are around 2-3%, so try not to worry too much.

Thank you ladies!!! I just ordered a sonoline doppler! It's on groupon for 32 bucks. SCH are SO scary. I am scared to get hopeful that because the bleeding has stopped that it's healed. Last time it stopped bleeding for two days then I had the gush of blood.

My sch was hell. It was found in week 5 after some spotting, and a few days later I gushed so much blood it drenched through my jeans and when I sat on the toilet, more spilled out. It was awful! I was positive I miscarried. I spotted all the time, and just when I thought it was healed, I'd have another bleed. I had 5-6 big, dramatic bleeds and spotted 99% of the rest of the time. It finally cleared up around 17 weeks, and that was the end of it. It hurt, it was stressful, it robbed me of 1st/2nd tri with worry...but it all worked out. The cramps you feel is because blood in the uterus is an irritant. Tiny clots are ok, and so is bleeding so long as it slows down.

Stay on pelvic rest until the doctor says it's 100% gone. I'm so glad I listened to the girls here, because my normal obgyn said just go about business as usual, and no need for pelvic rest. When I finally saw the specialist around 14 weeks, he said I need to remain on pelvic rest until further notice. So I'm glad I didn't listen to my obgyn. Most doctors aren't familiar with SCH's, so they treat them like they don't exist.

Rest, drink water and take it one day at a time. :)

thank you! it has been very scary. I can't imagine your situation, I would've been a total wreck! I am SO glad for you that the little one ended up being okay!
