Subway, yes or no?

I stay away from uncooked deli meat and mayo, would rather be safe than sorry. They have steak and chicken that is re-warmed so would be safer. Especially with all the stuff happening in the last few years with Maple Leaf, only figuring out the problem when everyone's eaten it already...grrrrrrrrr I would rather not eat it in the first place!
I'm planning to buy some deli meats and reheat them for lunches, once they have been cooked the bacteria dies. Whether it be listeria, samonella or E coli!
I LOVE sandwiches![/QUOTE

MMMMMM sandwiches :) I love hot roast beef and swiss with hot mustard dressing......for some reason I'm aleays craving spicy and hot hot hot.

I had quite a few at the beginning of my pregnancy bbefore I even found out and everything is fine with me... I haven't had any since though, just because I haven't been to one :P but nom nom can't resist a subway :P think it should be okay xx

God, I've been craving Subway but I hate getting my subs toasted :( I made the mistake of eating a raw hot dog early on (didn't know the risks) and I was up at 3 AM with horrible, horrible diarrhea. So I'm sure not heating my deli meats would do the same thing. Another :(

Do you have Quizno's? There's is better toasted.

Otherwise maybe choose one that isn't deli meat? OR just buy your own deli meat, reheat it and make urself a sandwich!

I'm glad you guys posted a thread like this. Although today, the though of food simply makes me wince... I haven't had too many symptoms besides being tired..but today I don't feel good at all :(

omg I hear yah I've been nausea most of the last month but today takes the cake keep running to the bathroom thinking I'm going to be sick my son looks at me like I'm nuts.

My OH got me grape juice and choc chip cookies this morning per my request, and i had 2 of the cookies and couldn't eat any more and i've been nursing the grape juice. went home for lunch and had 3 pieces of toast and half a can of spaghettios and they settled fine for about 5-10 minutes...now i'm nauseous as hell again. OH has been having morning sickness (as his dad did with his mom's pregnancy) at the smell of diesel fumes at work (he normally loves the smell of diesel fumes...don't ask me why lol) and he says "i hope you puke..haha" because I've been picking on him for it.

Lol that's terrible, with my first I was probably about 38 weeks and I asked hubby to order pizza and lots of it we ordered 3 large, 24 wings, and cheese bread. I ended up eating two pieces felt crazy sick and full and then fell asleep on the floor. I've done it this time to something sounds really good I get lots of it eat a little then feel like I'm dieing.

I work in an office pretty much by myself. My boss is gone for the day today, so i was just laying on the floor with my jacket as a pillow, covered in a blanket, with the business cordless and my cell phone next to me.

Lol I wish with two little ones the only time I stop is when my head hits the pillow n then I'm still up with them once or twice during the night not including my emergency bathroom brakes. I'm lucky though my little girl who's almost nine months now is beginning to sleep through most nights but my son is doing what he did when I was pregnant with his sister and waking up in the middle of the night for mommy cuddles. Kids have a sixth cents two days before I tested he lifted my shirt kissed my belly and said baby like he did when I was pregnant with his sister.

That's so cute :) Yeah I was up like 3 times last night to pee...it's hard to get a full nights sleep I know that...

My best friend owns her own Subway, so she's always bringing me freebies and I'm not stopping now!

She had a baby last year and she knows that they only use mayo with pasteurised eggs etc, so it's totally safe.

This is #6 for me. I've never avoided eating lunchmeat, whether from my fridge or from Subway. BUT its not like I eat it 10 times a day 7 days a week. Most of my sandwiches are peanut butter and jelly. I probably eat a deli-style sandwich once or twice a week, and Subway once a month or so.

Oh i LOVE me a subway!! italian BMT all the way, so yummy! could never give those bad boys up. Plus i get mine packed with salad veggies so cant be all that bad ay! haha xx The risk of listeria in the UK from deli meats is that minimal we arent warned about it at all so Subway away ladies! xx

A friend of mine got food poisoning from chicken at Subway and I heard of two others in my city. I wouldn't touch it non-pregnant or pregnant but that's just my opinion. I only eat chicken I cooked myself that I know has been handled correctly.

LOVE SUBWAY and i crave it lol i also craved sandwiches with my first pregnancy too, and mushrooms but this time its more avacado mmm lol i think that you are ok with eating subway i ate it alot my forst pregnancy and i have had it lots in this pregnancy as well XOXO

Oh man this thread is making me salivate. I want subway!

My bf got a ham&pepperoni sub last night...i was so jealous :( My mom and a few other moms have told me that they ate whatever they wanted and that I should too, but I reminded them that when they were pregnant 20+ years ago, a lot less chemicals were put into things than today. I'm also going to talk to my OB about home made formula. I found a recipe that calls for evaporated milk, sugar, and water - and I would most likely add vitamin drops to it too. I was allergic to baby formula when I was born and my mother never tried to breast feed. (I will be breast feeding, but you can only do it for so long before we have to go back to work lol)
