I just lost my 4th baby almost 2 weeks ago. Her heart stopped beating at 18 weeks and no explanation why. NT scan and blood tests showed no sign of anything wrong.
Some back story:
I have 3 children and no losses in between. My daughter is 14 and from a previous marriage. My husband and I have two sons together ages 4 and 3. After starting TTC when my youngest was 1.5, we experienced one unconfirmed and one confirmed chemical pregnancy. The month after my second (confirmed) cp, we conceived our daughter Nova who was dx with T18 at 12 weeks and passed away at 14. I had a D&C.
A few months after the D&C, we fell again and had a confirmed cp again. Then in feb of this year, fell again with our daughter Eliana. Everything was "perfect" we were told, aside from a very large SCH that miraculously healed at week 11. 13w NT scan and bloods showed nothing abnormal, except to ME, she didn't look right because she barely moved. Only boxed her little hands or hiccuped. My previous healthy 3 all were bouncing like on a trampoline at our NT scans.
I felt wrong the entire pregnancy and then after I spent an entire morning trying to find her heart beat with my home doppler, drinking juice and ice water to get her moving, we went in for an ultrasound that showed her heart stopped and she had stopped growing at 17w6d. The DAY before. I felt odd because at her gender scan, her heart rate was 155 and had been steadily that since 12weeks. At home, she measured the same. And then two days before she passed away, her heart had been a steady 178. I thought maybe because I drank juice, so I tried drinking nothing but warm water, waiting and checking again. Still so high and barely any movement. It's almost like she was in cardiac arrest
No one will tell me if that could be a cause or what could cause that!
We have had the run of RPL testing, karyotyping, infertility testing, an hsg, and nothing, absolutely nothing is wrong. I am 32 and my DH is 33. We are healthy eaters, we exercise, non smoking or drinking, take the recommended supplements. I'm so terrified to try again.
We are waiting on the results from my dd's placenta.
Has anyone experienced anything like this and gone on to carry to term?
Does anyone think that previous PreE could have caused the SCH and that was an issue this time? Or that the SCH was caused by an issue with the baby and she would have passed away anyway? My T18 loss, I had a small sch that only spotted two days and went away. This time, I was passing clots the size of golf balls and constant red flow until it tapered off around 10 weeks and completely disappeared.
If anyone has ANY insight that would help me from losing my mind, I'd greatly appreciate it!
