Hi Ladies
Our FS has requested a SA from my hubbie, next app for this is not
until July, once he gets these back he will put us on the the waiting
list for ivf/icsi. He has the previous results of the test that had been
done prior to referal to him by our gp. He has basically said
looking at the results there is slim to no chance of natural conception
for us :'( count on first test was 0.5 million with low motility, 2nd test was better with 2.3 million & slightly better motility, these didn't show morph result, everything is ok with myself.
I was hoping you ladies could post your success stories of natural conception
while on the long wait for fertility treatments, cause of fertilty issues and anything that you believe naturally improved fertility.
I hope I've worded this okay, I'm looking for inspiration to
keep trying & not give up.
Many thanks & your advice would be greatly appreciated :)
p.s since the last result hubbie has started wellman conception

We too are hoping for a miracle! The nhs has withdrawn all funding in our area so our only option is to save like mad. We are hoping we will be ok to egg share and then we can at least have more thank one shot. Fx and good luck for you x

Hi slb80
that's a nightmare with no nhs funding :( If only ivf/icsi
wasn't so expensive, I'm beginning to panic about not having any
success & having to pay for the second round so should probably
start mega saving now, although with the waiting lists here
if it all goes to the timings givin byFS we won't even be starting
treatment until the end of next year,
fingers x'd we get our little miracles before then, xx

Hi Tinker,

No miracle from me but wanted to say that you are not alone! My OH had a SA (Jan 11) of 0.5 million with everything else bad and then 6 weeks later had a repeat which was worse :'-( Like you we are heading down the ICSI route after being referred by our FS in April. We had our first patient info evening a couple of weeks ago but are now in limbo land as we can't apply for NHS funding till we have been trying for a year (although very unlikely it will happen naturally anyway - will be a year next month). I also have a BMI of 31 (was 32 when went to FS) and it needs to be below 30 before we can apply for funding. I am 4lbs off that target but recently read that it needs to be below 30 for 6 months!!! I am gutted. I don't know what the waiting list would be on top of that. I haven't really had to diet to lose the stone just stop eating all the comfort food I was eating because I was so upset over the results and ate my feelings coz I was trying to be brave in front of OH ! Grr!! On the positive though - we are lucky that funding has not yet been pulled x
