Summer Fetal Heart Monitor ?

Hi girls ,

i am just wondering if anyone has one ? i got a lend of one of my OH aunt and think its terrible you cant hear anything iv had it on my tumy for abt 15 mins , i know LO is ok tho as shes still kicking lumps out of me

if anyone has one how do you think it is ? are they bad or is it just me ?

hiya - yeah ive got the same one and couldn't hear a thing ! i wouldn't worry about it as long as you can still feel the baby moving!.. Its only now that im 39 weeks i can hear the heart beat !!! xx

Thanks i think its terrible tho it tells you, you pick up the heart beat by 18 weeks with it ,

I have one and at 24wks (ish) i could hear the heartbeat, but it was really really really quiet. I remember someone saying you can plug it into a speaker rather than use the headphones which might make it louder at 30 wks i could hear the heartbeat quite strongly. I liked that i could record the heartbeat onto my computer though. Something to show LO when she's older

The fetal heart monitor is basically an amplifier, so its only when you're later in pregnancy it works best. Its not a doppler, a doppler can be used very early on in pregnancy.

I got one at 24 weeks and could hear the baby a little, now I'm nearly 26 weeks and can hear her pretty easily! My only complaint is that if you move at all or touch the unit or the wire then it makes a REALLY loud crackling sound :/ Other than that, I'm enjoying it

i have one and idont like it at all they are complete garbage i think lol i cant hear anything like i even tried putting it directly over my heart to see what would happen and there was only a very very quiet noice.. and i know im alive i really dont like them at all

yeah i did the same thing lmao i put it to my heart , even tho people are saying it works when your like 30 + weeks but it says on the box you can hear it from 20 + weeks i dont think they should sell them bcos ppl are using them for reasurance and they dont hear anything they will ovbisley get really worried ,
