Uh oh! Since Erica was born, I have always kinda "spoiled her". I always looked at it as she is a baby and cant really be spoiled... But I think she might be outgrowing the not able to be spoiled stage. Since I'm a SAHM, we obviously spend all day every day together... and normally that was fine. She would still sleep over at my moms sometimes, and DH could take care of her just fine.. But for the past few weeks, she only wants me. She wants me to hold her ALL the time. If DH or my mom or anyone else is holding her, she reaches out for me and whines. If I put her in her car seat in the car (even when I'm sitting in the back!) she whines cause she wants me to hold her!

Is this normal? At first I thought it was sweet that she wanted to be held all the time, but I'm starting to worry that I have truly spoiled her, and she is demanding because of my own faults! Does anyone know what age you have to start teaching them that they cant always have what they want? And what age is acceptable to let them cry it out? At least for a couple mins? I never leave her to cry, I always pick her up right away.

Are you ladies experiencing the same difficulties? What can I do, or not do to prevent having a toddler who throws a tantrum everytime they dont get their way? I'm so clueless to this!! :help:

i spoilet my 1st holly n she is so demanding now but the other 2 were spoilet aswell n their fine but they go to day care twice a week so their used t me leaving them
u could try leaving erica with her grandparent once a week so u get some u time other than that i dont no wat to do sorry

They all go through a "cling to mummy" stage, even if they're not spoiled! :D

I agree with Toria...one week my LO is clingy and then one week he isnt...its weird xx

It all depends on the temperament each baby is born with. You cant really change that. Some babies just are clingy and around 8 months they want their mommy and no one else.

I think I'm doing the same thing to Lola-Rose...
Of course,I'm with her all day,24/7 since she was born.

Don't worry, once she's a little older she'll start socialising better and her perceptive will switch from just you to other people around her. :hugs:
