super stressed with wedding prep

Am super super stressed, I organsied an appointment for 2moz to organise our seating plan, my mum went mad and said she wanted to do it.
Also MIL 2 B has taken over all the decorating wich I wanted a say in, but she told us we got to have this that and the other and have a gold balloon arch when our colour theme is burgundy and ivory, (she only wants gold cuz she had gold at her wedding) shes also taken over the decorating of the church which has upset my grandma cuz she wanted to do that.

At what point does it become our wedding, I just want a say in my own wedding is that to much to ask????

It IS your wedding!! And you need to let EVERYONE know that!!! Don't let ANYONE take away your day because you will only regret it later. Even if you have to be a little stern with it basically all you need to say is "It's MY wedding so it's what I want" and that's that and they HAVE to leave it alone. DO NOT let your MIL take over. I can't imagine to tell you how many people tried to "have a say" in my wedding and got a little upset when I didn't take their suggestions but it's YOUR day so you have to do things that YOU will love it's not about ANYONE else!!! CONGRATS Btw!!!

It is your wedding and tell them you appreciate their help but you are doing what YOU want My MIL was getting a bit like that till I told her to back off and that it was my wedding and I would do it MY way xxx

I agree with the above if they are taking over tell them to back off. At the end of the day its you and your hubby getting married and its you and hubby who should plan it all. If all else fails tell them if they don't stop with interfering you will elope without telling them and they will miss out completely on seeing you get married.

Thankfully so far no one has tried to take over and everything os being left to myself and my partner which suits me fine since we are the ones forking out for it. i would allow them a bit of leway if they were generous enough to help towards the costs but that would be the only time I would. x
