Hi,

I'm only taking one thing and it's a Sanatogen Mother to Be (get it in Boots). I'm nervous about taking too many vitamins as too high a dose of certain ones if obviously bad for you.

Those sound good. Just curious though, why are you taking extra iron and zinc? I supplemented iron in the past when I was anemic, and now just take what is in my prenatal. Did you hear benefits from extra iron and zinc ~ if so please share:flower:
Epo is good but make sure you stop once you O.
Instead of taking B6, I take B complex but take it at a separate time from my prenatal.
Vit C, I used to give zinc and vit C sups to my partner from Boots, as heard they were good for sperm. But just switched to fresh OJ quite often. I think he was getting a bit fed up (hehe) at how many vits I was giving him. Plus I recently got him a food based multi and then wanted to space it out to at least twice a day. For myself I never took extra C but eat more fruits and veggies than he does and also drink fresh juice a few X's a week.

Hi Mummyhunter, sounds like you're invested in your fertility/health!
I too have a long vit grocery list:
1400--2800mg maca root
800mg CoQ10, really good info on Livestrong about the benefits of this during pregnancy. It's an antioxident, really can be taken quite safely all the way through but check with your doc.
4-5mg folic acid
3000mg EPO
1000-2000 'EmergenC' vit C with B's + other essential vits, it's effervescence
150 chlomid
day 9-25 baby aspirin + Robitussin 200mg to have friendly CM (counter the chlomid)
I make the hubbie and I 60%veg/40%fruit shakes every morning with EmergenC, Maca and fish oil. We don't even taste the goodness:happydance:
Best of luck to you with conception. I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure and don't ovulate without stimulation. low progesterone, high estrogen/FSH and minimal testosterone/DHEA. If this next round of IUI doesn't work for me I'm going to try DHEA 80 mg for 200 days. A New York fertility clinic is using this and seem to boast some kind of success with long term egg maturation over the short term that chlomid offers.
Best of luck to you, I think we'll at least be healthy and at lower risk of cancer with dietary supplements. As we age (I'm only 36) we lose absorption and I don't think the food is great quality now adays...everything we do can but help I hope!

Hi ladies
I'm 38 (nearly 39) very low AMH & high FSH (20). Only preg once (mc). We've both got fertility problems and are going for ICSI in mid/late July (been told we mightn't even get to EC).
Here's a list of what we are both taking...
Me:
Wellwoman preconception multivit
Extra folic acid
CoQ10
Royal jelly & bee pollen
Flaxseed oil (veggie, so no fish oil)
Going to start on wheatgrass.
Also have DHEA but not sure whether to take (DH against it, some FEs say yes, others no)

Him:
Wellman preconception multivit
Extra Vit C
Macca
CoQ10
Flaxseed oil

I've been getting acupuncture for nearly two yrs (specialist in fertility acupuncture) & think it helped me get preg last yr. Am going to try reflexology.

Good luck xx

Thanks guys x
I am giving it all I can as I don't really have long left, hubby is now of the opinion we have enough and it is our time now :-(

My biggest problem (please don't hate me for it) is that I have never had to try in the past :-(
My first 2 children with hubby no 1 were planned but never tried for and my 2 with current hubby were both unplanned but very much loved and wanted.
I kind of feel cheated out of the whole planning part and really wanted to plan my last one but I feel like maybe my time is up and I should be great full for the 4 healthy children I have already xx

Just because you want another child, doesn't mean you are ungrateful for the ones you have.:hugs:

Planning a child is overrated, at least when it takes a long time. It definately makes you think that perhaps that time in your life is done and over with ( my husband has suggested the same thing. Although he will carry on, he doesn't think it is going to happen).

Good luck to you.

Wow, four children is my dream family, I don't have any yet, give them all a squeeze for me today and keep trying! Maybe try not to stress about it or it may effect the way your husband feels. Just whip up that romantic evening when the time is right and you never know, your family may have a surprise on the horizon.
