How accurate is a 13 week gender scan? They told me girl at 13+1 with a potty shot, but everyone is telling me "not to paint the nursery " because 13 weeks is too early! ? Any ladies have experience with this?

all I can tell you is that, techs usually don't take a guess that early, unless they are pretty confident. With my DD1(12+6) & DD2(12+4) the tech told me it's too early to see. With DD3 >same tech< guessed Girl @ (12+6) correctly...
Generally speaking it is too early especially with potty shots,
however I must say I've seen some boy potty shots @12+ that were pretty obvious.

Still totally early! We had our scan at the same gestation (well, 1 day before ) and the technician said she wouldn't even guess because it could go either way at that gestation - they both still have a gender nub until 14/15 weeks.

I'd say the very earliest you could probably find out the gender would be 15 weeks but definitely 16 weeks. Anything before that could be wrong

Thank you for your responses ladies. I'm so frustrated because I went to a private place that does gender reveal at 13 weeks and they were "sooo sure" but I was surprised because they went off a potty shot. Luckily they do bring you back in at 15 for confirmation =)

I will for sure =) I definitely don't mind having another girl but I don't like being uncertain you know? All of the shots she took you really couldn't see baby's "parts" until she did the potty shot but then that's not all that accurate at 13weeks is it?frustrated. lol
