What type of board are you looking for? Being in South Wales there are a good few shops around the Gower x

Well what do you want? A used or a new one? Try ebay for a used one, if you want a new one just shop around I suppose, don't just go into the first shop you see and buy a board, only to see the same board in a different shop a few weeks later for half of the price.

Its for my Oh hes a beginner wanted to get him one for either our anniversary or xmas xx

As a beginner I would go for a bic board.... not as cheap, beginnery (uncool!), heavy, bulky as a foam but not as fragile as a fibreglass, and more userfriendly but has a wide range of sizes/widths to look at.

Many decent surf shops will have secondhand boards which is what I have and as surfermummy said, have a look on ebay!

Also you need to think on where he will mostly be surfing and his size (length & weight) this will all determine what sized board is best x
