suspected kidney infection?

hi ladies yesterday i had a slight pain in my side, and last night and today its been severe and most severe when iv went for a pee so iv foned gp got appointment at half 2, im pretty wsure its a kidney infection hopfully caught early enough cos even now its agony and paracetamol has done nothing i jsut wanted to know what the procedure is because im pregnant? anyone been in the same situation? xx
