sweep? have to b 40 weeks?

is there a certain time u can have a membrane sweep or can it simply b down to the midwifes judgement..
i am 40 weeks on the 25th sep and have an appointment on the 29th sep to have my sweep if i get that far and the midwife has said to me that because of second child the bosys more responsive so shud b about 24-48hrs after the sweep that labour shud b starting..
they normally wait until about 41-42weeks to do a sweep i believe but becuase i have very painful hips and pelvis (spd?) that there doing it before..

my question may b a silly one but if i were to ask for a sweep earlier are midwifes aloud to do it before 40weeks or do they have to wait till then??

Sorry im not much help Im not sure, my midwife has told me she wont dont it untill 41 weeks but maybe they change there mind if health factors are involved? Wouldnt hurt to ask, they can only say no

Im going to ask my midwife her procedure on this at my next appt but from what other women on here have said in the Uk they wont give you a sweep until at least 40 weeks x

Mine said they offer sweeps at 40 weeks if it's not your first.
With my first they didn't offer until 41 weeks.

On my first pregnancy i had one on my due date and im booked in for one next Thurs (3 days before due date). Depends on the midwife from what ive read and if they think baby/cervix etc ready and favourable! (so she said) x

its just i dont like to moan but my hips are so paiful i cant get comftable in bed at nite, even tried sleepin on the couch etc nothing helps and its keepin me up all nite, not being able to sleep ... i havent slept more then about an hour a nite for bout 4-5nites now.. im like a walkin zombie haha
its just i havent even had any signs of my lo wanting to show up even thou his heads been fully engaged and well down since 32 weeks...
im just bit worried that if i carry on not sleepin what am i gonna b like when lo actally arrives and i got a newborn up every 2 hrs for feeds and a toddler haha..doing ti on my own

think ill end up going mad, ill end up cooking the dogs or summit stupid lol

I had one at 38+5 with my first because they were taking me in at 39 weeks for an induction and wanted to give me a chance to go naturally.
