sweep or not to sweep?

i had a sweep at 39 weeks exactly(due to severe spd) with my son. i didnt feel any different afterwards and didnt have a show so i dont think it actually made much difference to me. he was then born a week later on his due date so i dont think the sweep helped me go into labour. it woulkd always be worth a try though if you wanted to avoid an induction. x
