I posted over on the TTC forum but haven't had much luck so I was hoping some ladies on here might have some insight.
I'm on my first round of clomid (50mg days 2-6). I'm currently on CD20 and for the last couple of days I've had a lot of swelling in my feet and ankles.
Has anyone had this? Is it normal or something I should get checked out? I'm getting myself all worried about it!

Bump...
Any comments would be useful as it's scaring me a bit!

I'm not sure if I went through that when I did eight rounds of it myself. I know I had the hot flashes, mood swings, etc that typically come with it. I looked at webmd to check out their side effects and swelling was a side effect of OHSS. You might ought to call your doctor and ask him/her. He/She will definitely be able to tell more for sure. HTH!

Thanks for the reply. I did worry that it was OHSS but not having any other symptoms and I read it's rare with clomid and more likely with injectables. I will probably call my doc though.

I had this side effect and it was not OHSS, I didnt even O that cycle. But it was pretty nasty, My ankles were huge, as wel as my abdomen. I drank a good bit of water and the next day the swelling started going down.

It is rare for that to happen...I hope I didn't scare you! :hugs:

I just know how hard LTTTC can be...I hope it works for you! :flower:

Hi jellybean:flower:, I wasn't as swollen as you in my legs but my tummy felt 5 months pregnant. The hot flashes were crazy, I don't think I was moody but maybe my husband would disagree  Either way, don't be alarmed, just try to avoid sodium and eat body-flushing foods: celery, onion, eggplant, asparagus and watermelon, parsley. Also, if you try to eat more veggies & meat and leave the carbs/bread/pasta (if you can) as they contribute to fluid retention & bloating.
