HI,

due to being unable to find the milk we use for LO (stock issues) in about two weeks we will run out and will be faced with no option but to switch him to normal milk. LO is 17 weeks on saturday and it will be about another 2 weeks till we need to make the switch. How do we do this, do we just switch him straight over or do we mix the bottles at first (ie comfort and normal formula) so he can adjust slowly... if i mix the bottles what quantaties would you use, he has 7 ounce bottles.
will the switch make him poorly or should he be ready for it now he is a bit older.

Thanks for any help and advice

Dawn

If you wanted to switch over slowly then I would suggest on day one have 6 scoops comfort and 1 scoop first milk, then the next day 5 scoops comfort and 2 scoops first milk etc until he is fully on first milk and hopefully he wont mind or even notice the change.
What was the original reason for him being on comfort milk? If it was for constipation then 1-2oz cooled boiled water a day should help. If it was for wind/colic then if he starts showing symptoms again when he's back on first milk then maybe go to the GP and get a prescription for some colief to add to the milk. xxx

Thank you, he was on it for colic, but now he us bigger i am hoping it wont be an issue any longer.
Thanks for your advice
