I have breastfed my baby exclusively for 8 weeks and am now beginning the switch to bottles. She is currently having 3 formula feeds of 6oz during the day and I am breastfeeding her first thing in morning, before bedtime and when she wakes during the ngiht. This is going well except I try to make her wait 4 hours in between formula feeds so that when she is totally bottle fed this routine will be useful. However, she finds it hard to go 4 hours and usually wants feeding after 3 hours. Since birth she has gained weight steadily and I am scared that she will put on too much weight if she takes to much formula. Has anyone gone through this? I know that breast milk is not as filling but I don't want to get her into a pattern of feeding too frequently on the bottles.

Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

Most babies dont go 4 hrs between feeds especially at that young age hun .. she will get into her own routine around 4 months old ..for now dont push tit feed her when shes hungry and be strong sweetie
