Hello everyone
Who else has switched to injectables after trying letrozole or clomid?
I'm doing letrozole I'm currently on 5mg and still not responding, I asked the nurse if my doctor goes upto 7.5mg she said he might but she also mentioned injectables aswell.
I go back for another scan on Wednesday at that point I think im going to ask to switch to injectables I don't think letrozole is for me.
Who else has switched to injectables?
Did you have more success?
Are they hard to inject?
Come share your stories with me

I responded decently to Clomid and somewhat disappointingtly to Letrozole. Everyone is different but for me Letrozole was a waste of time. My follicles weren't maturing well whereas on unmedicated cycles I would have full maturization of a single follicle.

Gonal-F worked really well for me. The first time I ended up with 3 mature follicles, the 2nd time I had 8+ and was converted to IVF. That ended in a freeze-all and I'm waiting for a FET. Gonal-F is super easy to inject, not scary or painful...in fact I couldn't feel anything at all most of the time. The only drawback is that it requires much more monitoring...like every other day. My RE is an hour away so this was a PITA.

Good luck!

I've never tried Clomid or the like so can't compare it. But doing injectables is pretty easy peasy after the first few tries. I'm so used to it and it goes quickly. You don't even feel the needle going in which is also good. I've injected for all 6 of my failed IUIs plus for IVF #1 that ended in a CP and am now doing IVF #2 (had no frosties from IVF #1).

Injectables offer more of a kick than e.g. Clomid. But it all depends on how you feel. If you want to try the Letrozole one more time at the higher dose and aren't much for injecting yourself right now, then do it! But if you feel ready to do injections then go for that:winkwink:

Thanks for the replies Ladies, I'm going to mention injectables to them when i go and see if they agree. I just feel like I'm waisting time with the letrozole because I'm just not responding. We need to of conceived realistically by june/July we get married next year and I don't want to be wither heavily pregnant or just of had a baby and be all fuzzy minded lol. I know some people don't mind it but it's really not what I want.
I'm thinking about my be getting us on the ivf waiting list now incase the injectables don't work but I'm not to sure how all that works. My partners bmi is going to be an jssue though, although he's not big just muscly and his doctor has personally told him a bmi of less than 30 wouldn't suit him or be healthy once they workedd out what weight that meant he would need to be!!
