Come on, this it just nuts! Im not even 10 weeks yet and my feet are so swollen! Whats up with that? I wonder if I should get my bp checked, it's just never happened this early!

I can relate! I've gotta be super conscious to hydrate like crazy and watch my salt AND sugar intake else my feet and ankles will swell..... NOT pretty! I also try and keep them elevated any time I sit down.

Hm, sugar, really? Maybe thats my problem! I havent been able to keep water down, anything actually, and I was dehydrating. So I figured at first maybe my body was holding onto whatever i put in it to prevent dehydrating again. BUT, the only thing I can drink right now is iced tea  I know, its bad, but better then no liquid at all,... or is it? I know its loaded with sugar, and I didnt really care about that, as for gaining weight right now. I can always lose it later, the important thing atm is to hydrate! Am I doing the wronfg thing? Is this maybe why Im swelling? Oh man I feel so stupid!

As for salt, I've been staying away from it. I even rince off my chicken and stuff before cooking it.

Oh gosh, that just may be it. Since iced tea is a diuretic, you need 32 oz of plain water for every 8 oz ice tea you drink to hydrate. And for me sugar has always been far worse of a culprit than salt for making me swell and further retain.... Just a thought. Maybe try and brew your own decaf tea and sweeten very very lightly if at all possible.

Thanx, I feel like such an idiot now, but happy you made me realize. I should have known! Im gonna plead pregnant brain!!! Now, to figure out wht else I can drink, that I wont gag on :nope: Before I got pg this time, all I ever drank was water, and about 2L/day. I cant even bring it to my mouth right now without gagging

Maybe still get your BP checked just to be safe.... That's not something I usually think of first for me because mine is borderline very low...

It's amazing how plain water can be such a turn off. I have days where I feel like that too and I try and choke down some coconut water.....I just want my normal appetite back!

My feet didn't swell until the 3rd tri with my daughter and my BP was elevated. I would definitely get that checked ASAP.

I've been brewing my own decaf tea and sweetening it with Truvia. Zero calories, tastes good (closest to sugar I can find) and it's perfectly safe in pregnancy. :)

Same here, my bp is usually quite low when Im pg. Last time it went down to 87/57, that was the lowest I remember it. They have bp machines at the pharmacy here, I'll go check today. I know, every pg is dif, my bp could be high this time! Actually, I wouldnt be surprised just because of dh alone makes it go up lol

Another thing it could be is, do you sit more than you used to? I sit a lot for work (and when on here) so I always had a problem with swollen feet. I therefore wear "flight socks" by Scholl all day long. At my local pharmacy they have the sheer ones that look almost like normal hosiery just a lil thicker maybe but they don't look too bad as trousers hide them anyway. Maybe this is something that would help others too?
Mind you they are not cheap and like most sheer hosiery do not last for ever.

I'm so bloated its not funny, feet and ankles and now my hands too!
