Sydney for a girl

This has always been my favorite name! What are your opinions? What are good middle names (especially those starting with "A" for a family member?) I was thinking Sydney Alyssa but not sure if I like all the Ys.

Alyssa doesn't sound like too many Ys to me though

Sydney is on our list of girl's names too, only we'd be spelling it with an i. It's lovely either way!

I think Alyssa is a gorgeous name too but for alternatives how about Alison, Amira, Alicia, Alexandra?

I like the name. It once did remind me of Scream movies, but think of how old they are and how our children's generation will probably never hear of them. So I wouldn't worry about it.

I think I saw the "scream" movies, but didn't even think about that! There was a huge surge of Sydney's a few years ago around here when I worked at a day camp over the summer, but it seemed to have slowed, haha.
