any other ladies who had an EMCS and are still in the first six to eight weeks of recovery and those who had added pre-E or GD please please take it easy and do not be upset if walking out with bubs still hurts three to four weeks PP, we may need to wait an extra six weeks on top of that xoxox

I had such bad pre eclampsia that my swelling is still there except in my face, my hands and ankles still look bad, and I still cannot wear my wedding rings or my old boots and my new boots :/ just praying in three weeks time when I am at the six week mark that the pre-eclampsia will have faded that is what my midwife says but I did overdo it the first couple of weeks so it may take me until week eight oh well

Acceptance is the hardest part of the whole weight loss thing and being able to take baby out in her stroller, it hurts too much to take the stroller out of my car and assemble it. Oh and I stubbed my toe twice in the same place and its now sprained so I hobble around like an overdue preggo lady but that should fade god willing oxxoxo

I am also very post partum in terms of blues, depression and traumatic stress so yeah any other women going through this please give yourself time and a break and allow a few months

my uterus is very bouncy and high so I am getting a post natal girdle belt:thumbup:

any other ladies on here early post partum? suffering post partum blues and pre eclampsia or GD??? Elective or Emergency its still hard

I'm not in too much pain now and my bleeding tapered off for the time being but I have a horrible itchy stomach (I got very big and I was a small person to start) and I just don't feel like "myself"

The weather was nice here and I was dying to get out with LO in the stroller especially since she is colicky and doesn't settle but I knew I should wait. I have done very minimal chores and spent a lot of time resting while nursing her on the sofa!

I have been driving this week but mostly because I have no choice. No one around during the day to help at the moment.

My swelling was very bad too (no pre-e, just super swollen) but it's gone now, thank god. My fingers and feet looked scary

hey SC how long did it take for your swelling to go down?

it is gone now and she is 3 weeks :) drink a ton of water thats what i did

wow we must have had our LO's the same time, mine will be four weeks in two days time
the swelling in my legs has gone I could not believe how skinny they looked well for my standards anyway and being able to shave them and bend over again is so nice
Sigh, I am drinking water tons of it, but no luck with wearing my wedding ring and other rings yet. My midwife tells me it can take until week 8 can you believe?
but I mean it was three months of developing pre eclampsia so I cannot expect it to disappear in a couple of weeks but I admit I did think that is what happened
hopefully by my birthday in mid july I can wear my wedding ring, it would be special for my husband and I if I could :cloud9:

hope your recovery is going okay socitycourty

hey ladies. Just reading through this post and realised i also had my baby same time as you ladies. How is everyone getting on? i am 4weeks post section andthis week i have started my house chores, as in washing, ironing, cooking but no hoovering as of yet ( think i will wait a little while for that 1)
Havnt strted driving yet but im thinking of starting next week. I had alot of probs with my wound as it split open but it seems to be healing well now ( touch wood).
My bleeding stopped about 10 days ago, still havnt dtd though, not sure whens the right time really. How is everyone else getting on? how are your wounds?

hey laara, well my wound was not as bad as yours but my recovery has been harder due to the eclampsia and muscle separation I had during pregnancy which has caused this bump like thing which has not gone down yet and wont go for a few months
I was told no vacuuming or washing and hanging out washing for a good six months and no going to the gym for three months or your scar could split open internally :/
