So I'm 4 weeks pp and took a walk today with my LO just down the street and back but there were a couple hills.....

Googled about exercise and c section and now I'm petrified I busted my insides or something. Had seen my ob on last Friday and she said everything looked good but I still need my 6 week check

I can't stand to be inside all the time anymore. My LO is really fussy and hardly settles at all, I'm exhausted and stressed, I want her to get fresh air

How soon did u take walks after your section?

Sorry, I had a wee giggle. You haven't busted your insides :hugs: I was out for walks with DH and LO the week I got home from the hospital. They recommend six weeks for strenuous exercise. Go with how you feel and your personal limits :)

hun i was out walking at 3 days pp with my dd you are fine to do gentle exercise it will help you recover x

I'm kind of a hypochondriac......lol. Thanks for the input :)

I took a walk the day after leaving the hospital. My doctor actually told me to walk saying it will help recovery. He had me walking back and fourth from my hospital room to the nursery- just told me to avoid the stairs the first few days.

I think I started walking at 3-4 weeks but just took it really slow. I still had difficulty with hills or exerting myself until almost 6 weeks

I was walking too the second week I was home. And I started exercising at 5 weeks ( back to my Zumba:).

Well It hurt me and has only stopped being incredibly painful now at five weeks PP but it still hurts my muscles when I walk too long or too far, mind u gentle exercise is not hurting the section scar, its my bloody SPD :/ sometimes when its severe enough it sticks with you post partum for months :/ so i suggest to any woman who has had a section, whether you had muscle pain or not to invest in a corset/belly band, I got one and its fabulous i do not look pregnant anymore and its comfortable and is binding the muscles together

so yeah I guess i am a special case due to my SPD lingering on and having a Dasistis reci or whatver its called but in usual circumstances I hear gentle exercise and even breast stroke swimming and yoga is good up to four weeks post section but no gym for three months no matter how well you recover apparently

with DD i was out walking after 2 weeks, thats pushin a pram and walking 2 dogs with OH for there 1hr walk!! this time with DS i havent been out with dogs yet but had a few walks round town etc as i hate being in aswell, but i have had an infection and been in a bit more pain than last time so have been taking it easier!! xx

As I already had a 2 yr old I was up and on my feet as usual straight away - no rest..

I am sure you will be fine!:flower:

3 weeks PP I started to walk long walks. Nothing happened to me, and i healed perfectly. Stop googling, it won't do you any good.

I went for a little walk the day after he was born and when we brought him home from the hospital. I was back loading my dishwasher (hubby not happy) on the 3rd day and doing washing. I don't do rest! You will be fine x

I just need a little smack in the head sometimes

I don't do rest well either, after spending the whole week in the hospital I felt I would never see the sun again. it was awful.

walked my dog for the first time since before labor today and it was nice :)
