Were going away in a few weeks and I would really like to take my main pram, I really just don't feel like she's ready for a holiday pushchair Just yet and this one is familiar to her. Has anyone taken their main pram on a plane and how did you get on? It's a bugaboo cameleon which we got second hand but it still wasn't cheap and don't want it getting wrecked!

Check with your airline, some have restrictions on what size you can take on to the gate. Most will let you put a pram in the hold free of charge. I f you really want to take it do that. If you look on Amazon you can get reasonably cheap stroller bags. If you do it though, take the wheels off abd take it apart as much as possible to avoid damage.

^^ I second this. Definitely try and find a decent pram bag that will potentially protect it from damage as it is highly likely it will get thrown around.

Thank you, it's a package holiday so a huge luggage allowance compared to what we're used to. Hopefully i can fit the pram in a suitcase with some towels to protect it! If not a travel bag but the ones I've seen are £100? To be used once probably!

The bugaboo travel case is quite sturdy so will protect your pram. We took ours on a trip but was a bit if a pain to be honest. The rest of our holidays I've just taken a stroller.

From experience, do not take your pram unless you are happy to get it back with big dents/chips/marks or even possibly broken. The baggage handlers do not care about your belongings & will throw the pram about.

We traveled from the UK to Australia when ds was 4.5 months old & just used a stroller when we were in Aus. I was a little sad about the idea of putting my little bub in a stroller, but he was perfectly fine.

We've just returned from Jamaica and took our twins pushchair with us without any issues, we bought a travel bag and checked on the buggy frame and car seats at the gate. To avoid it getting dirty we bought a travel bag for the car seats as well we had no issues at all xx

Thanks, we are pretty set on taking it as she's not a great sleeper and will nap the best in her pram. Gonna get a travel bag for it and wrap it in towels. I've taken my baby jogger before and never had an issue and never used a travel bag so fingers crossed!
