I went to the doctor on Thursday and I was still 1cm,25-50% effaced, and my cervix was still really high up. Baby is also not engaged yet but head down. So after the doctor checks me she goes "Ah, I wish I could give you better news but you're the same as 2 weeks ago. But, don't go scheduling you c-section just yet! "...uh Why would I want to schedual my c-section just because she isn't here yet? I have always been led to believe a baby is born when THEY are ready not because you're antsy, and I would atleast think an induction would be tried first before I just said "I WOULD LIKE A CESAREAN!" Now don't get me wrong, I see nothing wrong with a c-section if something is wrong. By all means please make sure my baby is out and healthy, but why would I just opt for her to come out when she's not ready, and why would I just decide to have surgery and have a longer recovery time? So after being in complete shock that this doctor thought I was even thinking about this idea she says "Well next week we will probably start discussing an induction because we don't like patients to go over 41 weeks" That would have been fine and dandy if she would have just brought it up next week, but I am 39 weeks today! Now, I feel completely rushed which probably isn't helping the situation because i'm stressed i'm not progressing fast enough. I am really working towards a natural birth and now I'm feeling like my goal is harder to accomplish since everyone is so gunho about getting my baby out. So, as we speak i'm typing all this while on the birthing ball and would go walking but stupid SPD hurts so bad, and ends up hurting me really bad the next day as well, so for right now it's sitting on this ball constantly. Sorry for the rant girls Thanks for listening! And please try and send some dust my way!
