Tamoxifen

Hi ladies,

Just wondering if anyone has had any experience of this drug?

This is my first cycle taking it and my consultant seemed really pleased with the results so far and is positive for a good outcome

Just looking for some stories on how you found it etc?

I have researched it online and it seems to be a lot like clomid so was just thinking of asking some people who might have used it before no worries x

I took letrozole (femara). I think this is the same as tamoxifen...it was initially developed as a cancer drug, but is now often used as a fertility drug.

I only did one cycle of clomid, which was pretty bad...I had a lot of side effects with it. The biggest difference is that, if the drug you're referring to is the same as mine, it has less side effects. It's half-life is also shorter, meaning that it stays in your system for much less, which is good. Clomid can linger for months. Femara/tamoxifen should be out of your system within weeks, so probably safer than clomid.

I've not had any success with it, though Although I think success rates are similar for those taking clomid.
