I am currently EBF my 5 month old son. My Ds1 (2.5 years) was breastfed until 14 months when I weaned him.

He is now showing interest in how I feed his baby brother.

I was wondering if it's be normal to offer reintroducing him to breastfeeding or if it's too late? I think it'd be a nice bonding experience but at the same time I don't know if he'd even remember how to nurse or if 2.5 is too old to start it back up again. Has anyone done this?

I mentioned it to DH and he seemed horrified by the idea but he's also slightly more conservative than I am.

You're not alone Ive thought about this too. My toddler is almost two and I nursed her for 13 months. I produce more than enough milk for my infant and I think my toddler would pick nursing back up, but I'm not sure if my toddler would want to nurse every time she saw the baby nursing? Also she has all her teeth and shes going through a very rebellious stage I'm not really sure I trust her not to bite lol.

What I have been doing is pumping every morning on most mornings, freezing and setting some aside in a bottle (to help prepare baby for childcare when I return to work) and on mornings I pump a little extra I put it in my toddlers sippy cup and she loves it! My freezer is actually full right now, so I've been giving her whatever the baby doesn't drink from my morning pump which is usually quite a bit. Starts her morning off right, super nutritious!
