Tax credits Help!

Hello girls

i Recently cancelled my single claim for child tax credits and asked them to send me a new form out so i can make joint claim with my partner so we can claim working tax credits and child tax credits together i have had the form and i have sent it back. last monday i rang up and they said that they had recived my form and that it wasnt on the system yet and to ring up in 3 week , i rang up today they have now told me its on the system from the 19th just wanted to see if anyone knows what stages are after it being on the system as im really struggling for money to feed 3 of us my boyfriend works but he gets paid monthly and he doesnt get any money for another 2 week the only money i get is £20 a week

I'm not sure Hun, but I would think that once it's on the system it wouldn't take too long from there to send out your award letter with details of what payments you will get and when.
I sent off my form at the end of April last year after my dd was born and I got my first payment about 4 weeks later. I think it will all just depend how busy your local tax credits department is.
