Tax Credits question

Just wondering, when i set up my tax credits i worked out my yearly income based on me returning to work beginning of december but have now been signed off by gp so obv this figure will change as im off until at least the middle of jnuary so im wondering, if i ring them to change the income will they stop my payments until they re assess? Obv my income has gone down with only being on ssp but just dont want them halting my money all together till they work out wot im now gonni get just before crimbo so dunno wot to do? Kx

they never stop payments hun, they will adjust it for you, but they dont stop and restart when your circumstances alter - thank god really or there would be a lot more irate people out there

as said above mine was pretty quick wen i told them i was going back to work and needed to claim childcare it was on my next weeks money
