Hello everyone 
Just going to get stuck right in and I apologise it's so long! Also I was so drugged up and tired I can't remember a lot
At 3am on Saturday 26th May I was in my bed and OH was in the kitchen, I sat up and panicked thinking 'Oh my god, I've just wee'd myself!!' but it kept coming and coming.. Yup my waters had gone! Strangely after my mum had done acupressure on me earlier that day around 8pm! I got my OH to phone the midwife and she told me to put a pad on and keep an eye on everything, phone back if I get contractions and such. I went to the toilet about five minutes after putting my first pad on and thought I was losing my plug (which I was) with my waters because there was all this green stuff so I phoned the midwife around 4am when I was having some contractions too, she told me to keep an eye on the colour over the next hour or go in, and I decided to keep an eye on it, but ended up falling asleep!
Around 7am my dad came to take me and OH into town to stay there and so I could get my waters checked out. I went in at 9am and it was confirmed that I had meconium in my waters, the midwife was shocked because she said it wasn't just a slight tinge of green, it was green. I got checked but my cervix was tight shut and high. Because my hospital can only do a certain amount due to not having a neo-natal unit it was decided that because of the meconium I would have to get flown down to Aberdeen to deliver there. I could only take one person on the air ambulance with me because a midwife would of had to come because I was having contractions, but the midwife told me if I act like I'm not having contractions she would tell them don't need a midwife and my mum would be able to come down too!
Just after 11am the ambulance came to take us to the airport and just after 12pm we arrived at the hospital in Aberdeen. I went to a ward and my waters were still going and my contractions were getting much worse, I got given morphine (can't remember when) and went a bit loopy I was sat singing the 'See my vest, see my vest (something someting) gorilla chest' song off the Simpsons!? I only remember this then falling asleep, but according to my mum and OH I was talking about Electric Six (you know, gay bar and high voltage 
). Some time in the afternoon I was given something up my foof to induce me as I was still tight shut and high, not much happened then until around 3am-ish when a midwife came in to check the heart-rate machine I was hooked up to for baby and it was decided that they were going to send me to the labour ward!
Again not much happened apart from the usual labour stuff, I was dilating well had more morphine for pain and eventually at some time (no idea this is where my memory starts to go) I decided I wanted an epidural so got that
It was an awful fuss though as I had to sit up straight on my bum when having contractions (OW!) and I had really bad SPD so it was horrid getting that in 
Also baby was slightly back-to-back so my contractions were awful and I had to get a heartrate monitor clipped onto baby's head which was really uncomfy (had this taken out before epi though I think!)
All I can remember next is I ended up having to go to theatre, I remember I was pushing when still in the labour ward. I remember getting an ultrasound in theatre and I was trying to watch (fading in and out) but baby had turned and was now in the right position, they said they were going to deliver me by forceps but at some point I remember being asked if I wanted to go to sleep or get a top-up of my epidural with something stronger, I said I wanted to go sleep because I was in so much pain and I really could not cope (might mention now that my epidural in the first place hadn't worked and I ended up getting it topped up) One point I remember them mentioning c-section if the forceps didn't work, then next thing I know I'm getting wiped down everywhere with cold water to keep me cool (this had happened in labour ward too) as I had a high temperature so wasn't able to have a c-section (I'm glad now) next thing I know, my legs are up in the stirrups and then all of a sudden I was in horrible pain and I was delivering! The forceps were purely awful! I remember them saying baby's head was out and I was going crazy on the gas and air, and all of a sudden I shouted 'I've just shit myself!!' and the midwife told me it was baby and I just said back 'No, I definitely shit myself!!' .. How embarrassing!! Just before the last pull/push my contractions weren't coming soon enough! The woman delivering me was asking another nurse/midwife if it was a contraction and she said no, it felt like ages but was probably less than 20 seconds, but it felt like I was waiting a life time for it to come! But then I felt the pain slowly coming and with one more pull/push my son was here! 
We named him Jason Leslie and he was born on the 27th May at 4.45pm, weighing 8lb 2 & 3/4 oz and measuring 19.2 inches
I ended up staying in hospital for 4 days after I had him because I got an infection
But we're both home now and doing well

I was so scared but honestly what they say is true, you do not care! I mean I even announced it to all 7 or 8 staff and my OH!
