I really have no idea where abouts on the forum to post this so I hope I've come to the right place.

I've just had the worst phone call ever , my cousin who is 29 weeks pregnant has just been for a midwives check up & found out her baby is measuring 4 weeks behind, she's been bleeding on & off all the way through her pregnancy but got told it was nothing to worry about but now they've found out he's not grown enough they think she might have a tearing uterus.. They've booked her a scan for next Thursday & then a midwife appt for the Friday.

She really is so shaken up & doesn't know what to do/what's gonna happen :(. She's petrified in caseshe's gonna have to have an emergency C-Sec to get him out & cos she's only 29 weeks she's obviously worried about what could happen..

For now she's just been told to eat plenty of carbs? & Keep her feet up.

This site has helped me so much with my own problems so do any of you ladies know more about this or have experienced it?

(If this post needs moving cos it's in the wrong place that's fine! Just need some answers for her!)

I am so sorry. I don't know what to say, but didn't want to read & run. I hope that they figure out how to help her!

If they thought her uterus was tearing she wouldnt be at home and waiting for a scan its more likely to be a issue with the placenta.

I was thinking this myself earlier, I think I got it wrong :dohh: they think her placenta is tearing, they don't know for sure til this scan on Thurs though. Just wanted some info on it to try to reassure her.

& PP thank you hun x
