teeth grinding!

My lo is 9 months and grinds his teeth all the time, whenever I hear it I try and distract him with toys, teether etc but I'm sure it can't be good for him.
Has anyone elses lo been doing this? I'm hoping it's just a phase!

Don't worry - hes just experimenting. Mine does this on and off. It's usually when she's teething or has just got a new tooth and is getting used to it. It comes and goes. The sound goes through me, but it hasn't caused any harm to her teeth as yet.

My lo went through that around that time, it only lasted a couple weeks maybe a month. One day it just stopped.

Mine went through a very short lived phase of doing that recently, just as she got her top teeth in. Totally normal!

Both of my boy/girl twins did the teeth grinding! They would do it so hard it would sound like wood creaking! It drove my DH nuts! LOL! They are just now stopping sometime around them turning 2. I think it started when they were around about 1 and a half years old or so, I think it is normal for kids to do this! They will stop on their own. I don't think there is much you can do about it though! I have no idea how they manage to make it so loud though! LOL!

My DS still does this age 4 and I hate it! I'm always telling him to stop, it sounds like metal grinding against metal.
