I want to buy Charlotte some new toys. She's nearly 5 months and is starting to show interest in holding things, shoving things in her mouth and grabbing for things. I want to give her more stimulation and vary our playtime routine.

She has a jolly jumper, bouncer, Playmat, walker and toys that rattle and squeak, stuffed toys etc. but I would like to invest in some new toys for her. What toys do your babies like?

Georgia loves her stacking rings and her scrunchy fabric book I've also made her a box with different textures in for her to handle for example there is a wooden spoon, nail brush, ribbons, pegs, Velcro hair rollers, reusable plastic cupcake cases, hair donut, bottle of bubbles, cotton reels (without the cotton). It keeps her occupied for a good while and hardly cost anything.

What about making sensory bottles? I made them for my son around that age and he still plays with them at 15 months. I just used empty water bottles and filled them with all kinds of things, water and seashells, water and colored beads, baby oil and glitter (baby oil makes them float longer before sinking to the bottom! ), colored pompoms, etc. I do them for holidays and seasons too. The last one was for easter and I filled it with jelly beans. Rice is another good one bc of the noise it makes when u shake it :)

At that age my LO liked a foil blanket I got from the 99p store in the camping section. He would spend ages shaking and scrunching it. He also started to like balls at that age. The Lamaze freddy the firefly was very popular and also a set of plastic links.
