Telling my boss..

Hiya guys,
I need to tell my boss about my pregnancy before my 12 week scan due to working in a children's center. I do children's parties which sometimes requires me to dress as our monkey mascot and last week I was the mascot and got punched several times in the legs & don't want to be hit in the stomach also we have to lift stuff out of the store rooms and heavy items such as tables to set up party rooms, so is it a good idea to tell him now? ​

It's up to you and how safe you feel hun. I work in a specialist residential school for children with severe autism and learning difficulties. Some of the kids can be dangerous (biting, grabbing, punching) so I felt I had to tell them so a risk assessment can be carried out.
