Telling the parents?

How did all you guys tell your parents and the oh's parents?? i have not told them yet but i am planning to do so very soon but i am intrested to find out how you all told your parents...

Im 16, 17 in november, my oh is 19, 20 in may we have been engaged for almost a year and was planning on getting married on the 6th june but is due 20th may the day after my oh birthday

I was 16 when i told my parents, and i was really worried..but once they know it is like a weight has lifted..
I sat with my mam in her room while she was getting ready one morning, i just said mam i havent been feeling well, and she was like go to the doctors, then i said i have and im pregnant..was really hard to just come out with it..i thought she was goin to go mental but she gave me a cuddle and has been there for me ever since, she told the rest of my family...all who have been amazing!

I think its done better sooner than later, its just such a relief and you can start talking about the baby CONSTANTLY haha...best of luck!xx

I think i was really earlu, like 5 weeks or somethin like that. i did a clear blue test and i think i must of only been a couple of weeks, i told my mam a week later, so glad i did.
I started bleedin when i was 7 weeks and my mam was amazin, helped me, took me to hpspital was realli there for me,,and im having a little boy and she is still there for me every day

i was thinkin of maybe next week when ill be 7weeks or the week after when im 8weeks or wait till my first scan witch will be between 8wk and 10wk ??

Yeh i think that next week would be a good time, the earlier the better.then they can get excited waitin to see pics of the scan, its better than keepin goin for the scan and everything a secret..i bet you will be suprised with how supportive everyone is, i was! Good luck...

i think once it hits 7wk+3-4 when my mum goes to bed ill go in her room and talk to her when my step dad is not with her since i dont get on with him

Im not really close to my dad, even though he lives with us...i found it better to talk to my mam alone, then she told my dad..so i think that would be your best bet. We talk about everyting ever since then!

Ok I aint a teen but I was scared to tell my mum all the same as I didnt know how she would react and the OH. Oh found out right away at 5 weeks and I waited till about 2 weeks later to tell my parents as I was scared of miscarrying as you are to tell people after 12 weeks apparently.

dosnt matter what way you say it to them the words "i am pregnant "are still there. So sit them down and face the music. I told mine on the phone as it made it easier.

my mum came back from holiday yesterday and i was so temped to text her yesterday morning to give her time to think about it before i would have to face her ** wimp i no lol**

do it when you feel like doing it they will understand why you held out as most dont tell at 6 weeks anyway. Plus its a scary thing no matter what age you are tellling parents.

My mum had drank 2 BIG glasses of wine and was tellin me how brilliant i am and how responsible i am so i laughed n said well guess what! Im pregnant! And she laughed at me thinkin i was joking! She was VERY VERY shocked(not a teen but treats me like one) after givin me a ecture but how much responsibilty a child is she said he wud be there thru whatever and ever since she wont leave me alone (in a good way, kinda lol)!!!

I was at college when I found out, even though I had known since conception that I was going to be pregnant. I had also just had a break with my bf, I did the test at college because my friend had bought 3 and I thought I might aswell take one coz I was a week late and knew I had to. But yeah, I knew for a good few days before I told my mum. I told my oh on the phone about an hour after and he wasn't much support. A few days later I text my mum asking if her OH was guna be at home that night because I wanted to talk to her. And she just text back 'you're pregnant aren't ya?' and that was that lol.
Just come out with it. Any way you do will be scary.. My heart was pumping so hard I'm sure my friends could hear it lol xxx

well i tested last tuesday doctors friday had to take some pee in on monday then went to midwife yesterday my OH was there when i took the test he was not much help because he did not want to get excited since i had a mc in june but know his great but thinking 8weeks before i tell my parents so another 2weeks to go AHHH lol

My plan was pretty simple.Drove to their home,they were pretty surprised to see me and they already knew that something is going on so anyway...I was very direct : 'I'm pregnant',they firstly didn't even understand what I'm saying but then the shock,disbelief and all that jazz came along.

I'm sure your parents will be suportive (even though shocked certainly) since they know already that you and your boyfriend have pretty serious intensions in regards to your future.

I told my mum the day I found which was 4 days after my period was due. She had said all along if I ever fall preganant to tell her straight away,Which I did and Im so glad I did as she came around to it really quickly.Was extremley shocked to start with but I think alot of parents would be. Now shes all excitedX

I didnt live with my mum at the time so I just texted her & said dont go mad but im pregnant. I then left it a few days for her to get round it then popped over to see her lol

i had my first at 17 and my family was happy, they could see me and my partner where not worried about it so why should they be. xxx
