Has anybody had to use this cream for a yeast infection while pregnant? There's tons of bad stuff about it online in regards to the effects on a fetus. My OB is the one who perscribed it to me. It's considered a CLASS C drug.

We don't have terconazole in the uk, most woman here are prescribed clotrimazole cream for thrush.

They say you shouldn't use these sort of creams if you have a low lying placenta, if your ob prescribed it for you I'm sure it should be ok. Call up and double check if your worried

Ive been told this about the clotrimazole one in the uk but do ring your ob I'm sure they wouldn't prescribe something unsafe x

Yes I used miconazole for a yeast infection and also used trimethoprim sulfate (an antibiotic) both of which are class C drugs when I was 24 weeks along. I talked to my pharmacist and my dr (I got prescribed it at the hospital) and they both told me they are both 100% fine to take..most class c drugs are dangerous in the first trimester or very end of pregnancy because they can cause complications like jaundice (which was the case in the med I took)

I have clotrimazole, but haven't heard anything bad about it. I had the pessaries to go with it aswell and I STILL have thrush so i'm having to continue using it.

I dont think your OB would prescribe something harmful to your baby. I was prescribed that but didnt use it cause I ended up in the hospital for preterm contractions and they noticed the yeast infection and prescribed to me the pill you take only once. These warnings and side effects are prolly mandatory from the FDA for all different types of meds. so I wouldnt worry
