Terrifying day!

Today has been a horrible terrifying day, yesterday I had a leak, I couldn't stop it, there was no pressure, no warning that it was coming. It just came. I put a pad on and my partner drove us home. We were up north so had to drive 2 hours back to the midlands. When I got home my pad and knickers were soaked and I had abit of blood. I called the midwife this morning who insisted I go straight to the hospital.
So at the hospital I was clamped open so they could see my cervix and told me to cough, water came out, I was told to cough again, more water came out. They wanted me to stay in on antibiotics until tomorrow morning when I could be scanned. Luckily there was a consultant on duty to so the doctor wanted a second opinion. The consultant clamped me open and got me to cough, I didn't lose any fluid that time, he did a scan with a hand held device, babies heart was beating and she was bouncing around in there. He said I've lost some fluid but she is still surrounded by enough. He also took a swob of my cervix cause there's a lot of discharge around it, he said it's not uncommon in pregnancy but there was a lot so there could be an infection. I'll get the results in 5 days. Since I have a rescan for my 20 weeks scan in 2 weeks he has sent me home. I'm on bed rest with plenty of fluids until then.

I was so worried my little girl wouldn't be ok. It's going to be hard to stay in bed for 2 weeks but I'll do anything to make my little one is safe a d well. Just when I thought I was starting to be well again.

that does sound scary....Just stay on BABYANDBUMP! we will keep you company for two weeks! Just mind the Dr.s orders and be safe....That just sounds so scary and you and I are so close in dates.... I always have leakage when I cough or sneeze, but thats just pee I presume...LOL Not good...

I did 9 weeks of bed rest with my son, get a good book and some playing cards and maybe pick up a video game you'll like. Also, keep your room BRIGHT during the day, so your sleep schedule doesn't get totally messed up. Also, we'll keep you company!

Thank you ladies. It sure was a horrible day yesterday. I never want to experience that again. I had another little leak lastnight but fingers crossed today there has been nothing so far.

Mammag the first 13weeks of this pregnancy were bed rest, luckily I was so tired all the time I just slept a lot and it didn't mess up my body clock. Now I'm meant to be fit and well but nope more bed rest at least until I've had my scan in 2 weeks time.

Oh, my!! I'm am so sorry that you have to go through this. Bed rest can be hard but stick with it for your LO and of course stay on here and keep us updated. Best wishes.

I'm still feeling wet down below but I'm not sure if it's fluid still leaking or discharge since they said I have a lot around my cervix. I have been having bad period pains since lastnight though. I really hope it's not related.

Day 1 of bed rest was difficult, I'm not the sort of person to sit around doing nothing all day. But I managed to stay in bed till 7pm when my other half got back from work. Then I got up and went on the sofa.
Day 2 today, so far so good. Only got up got breakfast now I'm lay back in bed bored outa my mind! I'm so tempted to get up and do some cleaning but I know my other half will just shout when he gets home.

I've still been leaking little bits here and there. Docs don't seem to care since I have a scan on the 28th, everything will get checked then apparently. So my other half has booked a private scan for Saturday morning just to make sure all us Defo ok. To be honest I trust a word the NHS say to me now.

Roll on November when I can cuddle little lady in my arms
