Hi Ladies,
So I came off cerazette 10 days ago and just bought some ovulation tests from tesco I decided for practice to try one out but oh my god they are confusing! Can anyone explain them to me. I'm guessing there should be two lines that come up in a reddy pink colour but bit confused which is the control line and which is the test line? With the arrows pointing down there was a faint line about this and a much darker line above that I think the darker one is the control line so ovulation is negative but I'm still not 100% sure. Also should I test in the morning or the evening?
Thanks for any advice.

I'm afraid I don't have experience of these tests but I didn't want to read and run. There is an ovulation test gallery at the bottom of the trying to conceive forums. Perhaps some of the pictures will be helpful?

err the control line would have been on the test before you peed and the other line would show up after you peed. Lol! I think on most tests the line on the right is the control. Not sure about yours though. The line needs to be the same colour or darker than the control for a positive result.

I used the clear Blue smiley face ones this month to avoid confusion with the lines. I'm keeping my fingers crossed! I hope you get your positive!

Hey I use these sometimes and they are pretty sensitive sometimes I get a very near positive before my actual surge also use other IC ones that are defo negative when testing the same pee! TMI. The control line is the one closest to where you hold it (I think, don't have any left to check just now). The control line will come up when u put urine on and you may get a second line just dep on your hormone levels and if your close to your LH surge. Sometimes I use the Tesco ones and when I get close to a positive I switch to using CB digital to avoid confusion. Hope I've helped a bit.

The control line appears after it's been dipped in urine (or when you wee on it), that's what tells you the test worked. With the tests it's the line closest to where you hold it.

Did it come with instructions for use? I think the best time to test is between 10am and 8pm and you should try and reduce your liquid intake for a couple of hours before you test.
