testing dilema.....

erm, I dunno tbh....

my boobs are sore and swollen and I have cramps and backache - all those for about 3 weeks and the past few days sometimes after I've eaten I've felt sick, and need the loo loads atm

but there's other possible causes for them all....namely PMT and RSD

cause I can't have bloods done like normal people huni, it causes (or at least it's likely to cause) further permanent damage to my arms (or at the very least a massive flare up for a couple of weeks) and I kinda like the little bit of use I still have in them, lol ... - I'm just awkward you see! lol so can't really have them done, unless there's no other alternative

Send your hubbie out for a Clearblue Digital tomorrow!

I think i might, lol I went to asda but they didn't sell them :(

but then, if I take it on Monday it might be too soon, but if I take it on Tuesday or Wednesday and get a BFN I'll be starting 2008 on a downer :(

Oh bugger, bugger, bugger!

See the asda test was BFN but had a tideline (even says in the packet that it may have a tideline) certain way you hold it you can see something and you wonder if it's a shadow or a "i want to see something!" line, so definitely a tideline....couldn't see it when I was half asleep or owt only later, hence it being obvious that it's def a tideline

i hate being in limbo but so scared to believe the result of a dipstick thingy

Oh Mynxie - I hope you figure out what is going on soon!!!

how long have you been without your period, 2 weeks?

yeah, if i was on a 30 day cycle AF was due about 2 weeks ago (the month before was a 30 day cycle)

Have you chucked the Asda test in the bin or have you still got it?

The reason I ask is that when I was pregnant, the first test I used was the Asda one. I got a tide line thingy and thought it might just be an evaporated line (because I waited for five minutes and nothing came up and then had to go out - when I came back that evening (I had left it in the bathroom), I saw it had a faint line). I tested with a Clearblue the next day and got a positive. Maybe the Asda tests take time for the line to look more pronounced (as long as it first comes up in the initial 10 minutes of course).

I left it in the bathroom and went back to bed then there was a really faint line if you tilted it one way etc etc when I looked later

TBH someone else said they had trouble with an ASDA test too....

hmmmmm

hmmmmmmmmmm.....I have been there and SO know what you are going through!!! I even got a blood test and it was neg (Did I post that already????). I would def try another test!!! And keep testing. Once preg is ruled out...then try some remedies to bring on your period. What cd are you on and when was the last time you bd'd?

We BD every couple of days sweetie, I can't keep my grubby hands off him ;)

The fact that you got a positive on the internet one is a really good sign - usually they are the ones that take time to show a BFP - I would test tomorrow again. Just try to hold your pee until you can buy a test!!!

I am maybe thinking that I might of O'd late this month since my period hasn't come yet based on 32 cycles days. I also took a hpt on 12/24 and it was BFN and also took 2 opks and they were positive. The next day they were negative...so WHO knows. I don't know I really feel about opks. I have been seriously thinking about the clear blue fertility monitor but am so cheap, that I don't really want to spend the money.

I agree with Poppy, TEST with a different hpt. Awww how cute! :) I love my man too but I have been feeling so crampy and blah when we have had the time to bd lately.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I've been contemplating buying one too!

think I might send DH to buy some other brands....part of me thinks "yeah false BFNs are more likely than false BFPs" then another part thinks "but that internet cheapie might've been broke!"

Avistar - I have heard of pregnant ladies getting positive results on opks (I think a few people have posted about that on this forum somewhere!). If your AF is only a few days late and you tested when it was due, the hcg level might not have had time to build up then.

Are you going to test again soon?

Weird Poppy! I took a hpt 12/24 (ept), 12/28 (FR), 12/29 (cheapie) all BFN's...and I am 5 days late but have had irregular cycles...:(
