After being told my due date was in October my 1st thought was "Omg what if i have her on Halloween" .... Its really ironic that this is the day she would be born!
When my due date came and went i was really starting to feel really fed up and upset, after going 13days overdue with my son & induced i totally didnt prepare myself for going overdue again.
I had a membrane sweep at term +8 which didnt work and another at term +10 which made me loose some plug but thats all, they booked my induction date for Sunday 30th October at term +11, I felt a little dissapointed having to be induced again but i couldnt wait to meet my princess.
I went upto the hospital on the sunday and monitered only to be told that labour ward was too busy and was sent home, and told to phone back in the morning at 8am.
8 am monday morning (31st october) i rang maternity and was told to come up as the induction would be going ahead.
I arrived on the ward around 9.30am and was put on the moniter.
I was given 1 x pessary at 11 and was told to go for a walk etc.
I started getting very regular and strong contractions at 2pm.
The midwife came in to check the moniter trace and said that they were coming very quick and strong and that i wasnt getting much of a break in between i was getting around 6 contractions every 10mins.

At 5pm the Dr came to examine me and i was 3cm dialated and the contractions were too regular and strong for me to be kept on the ante natal ward so i was moved round to Labour ward where i was given gas & air.
I was Examined at 6.15pm and was still 3cm, the contractions were incredibly strong fast.
1 hour later i felt an uncontrolable pressure down below and my waters burst all over the bed, The pain multiplied by a million and i got a horrendous urge to start pushing. I couldnt understand why i felt the need to push as only 1hr ago i was at 3cm and didnt understand how i could possibly of progressed so quick.
The Midwife came running in and was like "Whoa Kerri ok you need to get onto your back and push with your next contraction" ... It was all so quick i couldnt believe i had gone from 3cm to 10cm in 1 hour!!!
I pushed through the pain with the contractions and at 7.47pm my little baby Macie Olivia entered the world she was amazingly beautiful and weighed 8lbs 4oz.

My boyfriend cut the cord and i delivered the placenta, Had a 2nd degree tear so that was sewn up and i was given cuddles with my amazing little baby, a cuppa and some toast
My established labour was classed as an hour and 42 mins even though im glad it was quick ... it was scarily fast and i was soo unprepared after having a 27hr labour with my son, There was no time for any pain relief so i had an only gas & air birth
I have never felt pain like that in my life and i have never made that much noise in my life either but at that moment when i saw my baby girl it was all worthwhile

She is soo beautiful just like her brother and i am soo proud.
20th feb 2008 & 31st oct 2011 are the 2 most amazing days in my life.
I am so blessed to have 2 beautiful children, a perfect little prince & perfect little princess ..... My life is now complete
