My son Olly was born on the 21st of September 2011 at 16:28 weighing 7lbs 8oz. He was 8 days late and I went into labor naturally. Anyway here's my story...
I woke up on the 21st September at 6am with very very mild regular pains in my lower abdomen. The pains were lasting around a minute and coming and going every 10 minutes. I started to time them and gradually they got closer together and stronger. By 8am the pains were coming every 4 minutes and were much stronger and very painful. By 9am I was in the hospital with contractions coming every 2 minutes. The pain was now very intense and I was desperate for some pain relief. I was then given gas and air and was told that I had got to 4cm dilated. I was over the moon! I continued to contract and suck on the gas and air. I then asked for the epidural and was eventually given it at 1pm. As soon as I was given the epidural, the pain eased off A LOT, although I could still feel my contractions and LOTS of pressure, so I still needed the gas and air. By now I was 6cm dilated, so the midwife decided to break my waters. I continue to contract every minute, sucking on gas and air and with the epidural taking away the worst of the pain. It then comes to 4pm and I feel the urge to push. I start to push and by 4:28 my son is born!! It was the perfect labor and perfect birth. I loved every minute and I cannot wait to do it again![Smile :-) :-)](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f642.png)
